3. AREAS OF USE
Nitriding steels are used in screws and barrels of plastic extrusion
machines, gears, shafts, heavy machine parts such as piston rod, dipping piston, 
and ball screw, especially in large dimensions and cross-section, and as auger and cylinder in plastic injection machines.
