Stainless Steel

   Technical Features of Stainless Steel

Stainless steels are steels that require to contain 12% or more chromium (Cr), varying quantities of nickel (Ni), and high
corrosion resistance. These steels can contain low and medium levels of carbon (0.08-0.60), though it’s generally low. They are usually
used in applications and components that require corrosion resistance, long-life expectancy, and hygiene. Although they are called
“Stainless Steel” in our country, the correct usage is Corrosion Resistant Steels.

X20Cr13 (AISI 420) Martensitic Stainless Steel Technical Features According to EN10088-5
"Stainless Steel" in our country, the correct usage is Corrosion Resistant Steels. The most important feature of these stainless steels
is that their hardness can be increased by heat treatment. Corrosion resistance is low compared to other stainless steels.

X6Cr17 (AISI 430) Ferritic Stainless Steel Technical Features According to EN10088-5
"Stainless Steel" in our country, the correct usage is Corrosion Resistant Steels. These stainless steels are not suitable for heat treatment
(cannot be hardened) and are magnetised. If they need to be hardened, they can be hardened by cold drawing.

X17CrNi16-2 (AISI 431) Martensitic Stainless Steel Technical Features According to EN10088-5

used in applications and components that require corrosion resistance, long-life expectancy, and hygiene. Although they are called
"Stainless Steel" in our country, the correct usage is Corrosion Resistant Steels. The most important feature of these stainless steels
is that their hardness can be increased by heat treatment. Corrosion resistance is low compared to other stainless steels.
